What people say about a locksmith who does this properly

That should not be remarkable. In this business it is. You have probably heard about the $29 ad that turns into a $300 bill, or been quoted one number on the phone and handed another one after the job. We publish our prices, we quote before we drive out, and the number does not move.

What it costs

Nobody else in South Florida publishes these. We do, because the number on the phone should be the number you pay.

Service price ranges
ServiceTypical priceNotes
Car Key Replacement $120 to $320 Depends on year, make, and key type. Quoted before we drive out.
Key Fob Programming $70 to $180 Per fob. Bring your own fob and it is cheaper.

The questions everyone asks

Mostly about whether you are about to be taken advantage of. Fair enough.

Can you make a car key if I lost all my keys?

Yes, and it is a normal job rather than a special case. We originate a new key from the vehicle itself, then cut and program it where the car is parked. You do not need an original.

Do I need to tow my car to the dealership?

No. That is usually the most expensive part of the whole thing and it is avoidable. We come to the vehicle, wherever it is.

How much does car key replacement cost?

Most car keys run $120 to $320 depending on the year, make, and key type. Basic transponder keys sit at the low end, push-to-start smart fobs at the high end. We give you the exact number on the phone before we drive out.

Will the price change when you get here?

No. The number you get on the phone is the number you pay, provided the vehicle is what you told us. We do not add a service fee, a mileage fee, or an after-hours fee on arrival. If a job turns out to be different from what was described, we stop and tell you before doing anything.

How fast can you come to me?

PLACEHOLDER - confirm typical arrival window with Daniel. Honest ranges beat "fast", and a specific window is what customers reward.

Can you unlock my car without damaging it?

Yes. Proper automotive entry tools, no wedges bending the door frame and no broken trim.

Can you program push-to-start key fobs?

Yes, including proximity fobs and keyless entry remotes. If you already bought a fob online, send us the listing before you buy and we will tell you honestly whether it will work with your vehicle. That is usually the cheapest route.

Are you licensed and insured?

PLACEHOLDER - do not publish until verified. Florida has no statewide locksmith licence and requirements vary by county across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. Confirm per county before this claim goes live.

What areas do you serve?

North Miami to West Palm Beach, across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. If you are near the edge of that, call and ask.

What we work on

Vehicles only. That is why we are quicker and better equipped than a locksmith who also does houses, safes, and storefronts.

Us versus the dealership

The dealer is usually the other option people are weighing, so here is the honest comparison.

Comparison of mobile locksmith and dealership
UsDealership
Getting the car there We come to it You tow it in
Wait Usually same day Often several days for an appointment
Typical cost, transponder key $120 to $320 $200 to $500 and up
Equipment Same dealer-grade programming tools Same tools
Price before you commit On the phone Usually after they see it

A locksmith is generally 30 to 50 percent cheaper than a dealer on car keys, and the towing bill is often more than the difference on its own.

How it works

  1. 1

    Call and get the price

Tell us the year, make, and model. We give you the number on the phone. It does not change when we arrive.

  2. 2

    We come to the vehicle

Roadside, driveway, parking garage, marina. The vehicle does not move.

  3. 3

    Cut, programmed, done

Most jobs finish in 20 to 40 minutes on site. You pay the number you were quoted.

The cheapest key you will ever buy is the one you get before you need it

Cutting a spare while you still have a working key costs a fraction of an all-keys-lost job. If you have one key for your car, your bike, or your boat, that is a bad day waiting to happen. Nobody else in South Florida bothers to tell you this, because the emergency pays better.

The van and the equipment

Photos go here.

Daniel with the van, the key-cutting and programming equipment, and a few real jobs. Every competitor in the corridor leads with a photo of their technician standing next to their vehicle, and it is the strongest trust signal on their page.

Deliberately left empty. Stock photography of models holding keys would actively hurt this page.

What we do not do

We do not do houses, apartments, offices, or safes. No house calls. Vehicles only, which is why we are faster and better equipped on them than a locksmith who does a bit of everything.

Where we go

North Miami to West Palm Beach, across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
